Welcome ..... A little bit about me

I’m Andrew Ridley, a professional photographer based in Enfield, North London, with over 15 years’ experience photographing weddings, events, people and places across London and beyond.

I was born in Finchley and settled in Enfield in the 1980s. My journey into photography began when my wife bought me my first camera as a birthday present. I quickly became hooked and, although largely self-taught, photography soon became a passion that eventually turned into my full-time career.

I have now been a professional photographer for over 15 years and have photographed more than 1,000 weddings and events across London. Before becoming a full-time photographer, I owned a print and design company, where I also provided photography for clients, including product, headshot and lifestyle photography.

I love photographing people in a natural and relaxed way. Whether I'm photographing a wedding, a corporate event, a private celebration or a professional headshot, I aim to capture genuine moments and create photographs that people will enjoy looking back on.

I’m a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS) and a member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP).

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy travelling and exploring London with my camera. I've been fortunate enough to photograph orangutans in Borneo and, more recently, travelled to Vietnam, where I created a body of work for my application for an ARPS distinction with the Royal Photographic Society.

When I'm not taking photographs, I enjoy spending time with my family, swimming and, probably, drinking a little too much coffee!

Photography has given me the opportunity to turn a passion into a career, and after all these years I still get the same enjoyment from picking up a camera as I did with that very first one
